This 1962 Gibson ES-330TDC, shipped from Kalamazoo on March 28, 1962, is a lively and resonant example of Gibsons fully hollow, double-cut thinline electric. Finished in a rich Dark Cherry that has aged beautifully, the guitar shows moderate playwear with light scratches, nicks, and dents, plus even vertical checking across the body. There are very light Black lacquer touch-ups on the headstock edges, previously done to cover exposed wood from finish wear.
Hardware includes an aged Gibson Custom ABR-1 bridge with brass saddles, aged nickel Kluson Deluxe white-button tuners, and era-correct vintage replacement strap buttons (a second strap button has been added at the top of the heel/back of the neck). The guitar also has two sets of thumbwheels under the bridge, one set locked down to the top to keep the posts stable.
The original P-90 pickups deliver classic, articulate ES-330 tone thats bright and snappy at the bridge, warm and rich at the neck. Recent work by Glaser Instruments includes a professional refret with Jescar 51100 fretwire and installation of a new nylon nut, giving the guitar an effortless feel.
Comes with a vintage black and goldenrod Lifton case, Certificate of Authenticity, Letter of Appraisal, and a new Limited Lifetime Warranty.
