The body of the Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin features a molded arched top and back crafted from Canadian Wild Cherry, offering dynamically rich tone with more projection and volume in the lower midrange than traditional archtop acoustics. The top sports a pair of classic f-holes and a floating pickguard, while the entire body flaunts cream binding and a custom polished finish that creates a beautiful satin sheen reminiscent of the French polish of the 1800s.
The 24.84″ scale neck is carved from Silver Leaf maple and capped with a 16″ radius rosewood fingerboard. Whether you’re unplugged or playing through your favorite amp, the 5th Avenue Kingpin sounds great both acoustically and electrically. A single Godin Kingpin P90 single-coil pickup in the neck position gives the 5th Avenue Kingpin a voice with a little bit of attitude and, of course, all of that classic vintage tone with superb presence and clarity. The no-nonsense controls consist of a single volume control and single tone control. The contoured high-gloss black headstock comes loaded with a set of chrome tuners.
