This open-coil pickup has cool-looking zebra bobbins and is mounted directly into the alder body for more resonance and sustain and a streamlined, no-nonsense look. The controls are wonderfully simple, with a single volume knob connected to a push/pull potentiometer that is wired for series/parallel pickup coil switching, delivering two different classic tones from a single humbucking pickup. The nickel volume knob is knurled so no matter how hot and sweaty the action gets under the stage lights, youll always keep and good grip on it and remain in total control. The volume knob is also rear-mounted, so the awesome graphics on the front of the body are not covered up by a pickguard. The lack of a pickguard also simplifies pickup height adjustment of the body-mounted pickup, and the easy access lets players quickly dial that in just where they want it if they want to change the factory setup.
