Get ready to rock with Kramers flagship model, the Pacer! First introduced in 1981, the Pacer is a true icon of the rock world and was used by some of the biggest names in rock and metal in the 1980s. And now, the Pacer Deluxe 87 EMG is here to take things to a whole new level. This impressive guitar features a resonant poplar body with sleek curves and forearm and belly comfort carves, along with a sculpted neck heel for easy access to the entire length of the neck. The satin-finished, thermally aged three-piece maple neck has an 87 SpeedTaper profile that invites lightning-fast shredding. The 25.5 scale length is great for standard as well as drop tuning. The rosewood fretboard has a compound (10-14) radius for easy chording and choke-free string bends and is equipped with 22 jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The truss rod uses a spoke wheel-style adjustment at the body end of the fretboard, making it quick and easy to access. The bound Kramer pointy headstock has a wrench holder on the rear and a Floyd Rose R2 locking nut. The Kramer Pacer Deluxe 87 EMG also features the new Kramer KeyLock system. The KeyLock, developed by Senior Product Development Engineer Richard Akers, provides incredible neck stability. Paired with Kramers five-bolt neck-to-body joint, it prevents movement in the neck pocket, increasing vibrational tone transfer, sustain, and intonation. As the name suggests, the Pacer Deluxe 87 EMG is powered by a trio of active (a 9V battery is required) EMG pickups, with EMG SA single coil units in the neck and middle positions and an EMG 89 humbucker installed in the bridge position. Pickup selection is handled by a five-way blade switch, and the bridge pickup also has a mini toggle switch for coil splitting. A Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo keeps the tuning nice and stable, no matter how enthusiastically you work the vibrato arm. The Kramer Deluxe 87 EMG has all of the iconic Kramer features todays virtuoso musicians demand, and, like all of our guitars, it has plenty of in-your-face, Made to Rock Hard attitude.
