Built in the same Kalamazoo factory as its Gibson counterparts, the Sheraton was Epiphones top-of-the-line semi-hollow model in the 1960s. Combining ornate appointments with a centerblock design, mini humbuckers, and a Frequensator tailpiece, the Sheraton offered refined tone and stage-ready reliability for jazz, blues, and soul players alike.
This Gibson Certified Vintage 1967 Sheraton is a clean and well-maintained instrument, with only light checking, minimal wear, and no major nicks or dings. The guitar underwent a plane and re-fret at Gibson Repair & Restoration and has a new bone nut. The original celluloid pickguard had deteriorated and tarnished some of the gold hardware; the hardware has since been cleaned, and a high-quality reproduction pickguard with a raised Epiphone logo has been installed. The original bridge, which shows signs of collapsing, is included in the case, and an aged Gibson Custom ABR-1 wire bridge has been installed.
A fantastic example of a late-60s Sheraton, this one plays and sounds as good as it looks! Includes its original black and goldenrod Ess & Ess hardshell case.
